This is such a unique and incredible didge! You can’t tell from the photos very well how amazing the curve that it has is. You it is almost snake like when you look down the mouthpiece to the impressive bell. This one had a ton of bug activity as you can tell from the big turquoise inlays. I just love how the turquoise accents the varied agave grain and adds so much character to a stalk already brimming with it. This plays with so little effort and is so explosive. It loves to play fast and has a ton of percussion abilities but also really excels at ambient soothing soundscapes. This one has amazing overtones that are so easy to transition to and are crystal clear and take so little breath to sustain. This would be incredible for any style and any situation and if I didn’t already have two E’s I would be thinking of keeping it. Can’t wait to see who the lucky person is to get this one!

Upon approaching this agave I new I had a duty to have it live on as a didgeridoo. This one never got to fully shoot up its flower as some natural force decided to twist and break the stalk before ever being able to spread its seeds, after a lifetime of living for that sole purpose. It is hard to know how many years it took this agave to become the size it did. As you can see this has such amazing pigments throughout and you can see the evidence of the break with the twists in the wood grain. This one also attracted a ton of bug activity and there are so many turquoise inlays throughout. It takes so little breath and is incredibly responsive. Strong overtones and vocal ability and such a peaceful drone. I felt a special connection thinking of its path and helping it live on in a different way and can’t wait to see where it ends up!

This didge is explosive! When I worked at Gibson Guitar my favorite model was the smaller Robert Johnson style. I also just love these smaller agaves and this one has so much going for it. It plays with such power with a ton of volume. Such a balanced drone that is effortless to play requiring so little breath. The response is incredible and plays amazingly at any speed you want from slow and ambient soundscapes to fast percussive style rhythms. The vocals are incredible and overtones are so clear and easy to transition quickly from the drone and back. Perfect for every level player and any style. A beautiful player that also has such unique wood with some amazing contrast in its pigments. Such a lovely didge!

This one may look simple and un assuming but it packs a serious punch. It is incredible how resonant agaves are and just ring when you knock on them. This one would be the ultimate beginner didge but so fun for the most advanced as well.  I considered keeping this one as a travel didge which tells you how highly I think of it. Despite its size it has great volume and takes hardly any air with its back pressure to get its sweet drone going. Amazing overtone and percussive capabilities and being in the key of C such a grounding soothing drone. This would be great for any level player and any style of play.  Also would be perfect for sound healing as it is light as a feather and easy to move around with while holding. I just love this didge and can’t wait to see where it lands!

I just love these shorter, straight, thick Old Soul didges. This one plays with such ease and and power despite its smaller size. Such a solid drone, great vocals, and overtones. Would be great for any level player and also such a nice size for traveling and outdoor adventures.  Hard to tell from the pics but this one has a ton of holes where birds feasted on the insects living inside. I inlaid turquoise in some and left others open to have a more textured weathered look to it. Such a strong player that can play with tremendous pace and so strong in ambient meditative style as well.

I once had my voice recorded by a sound healer and I spoke in mostly F and F#. He told me that we speak in certain keys to soothe ourselves. Seems this carries over to didge as it is one of my favorite keys. It is also my dogs favorite as she will almost always appear when F is being played and fall lay near the bell. F, being the heart chakra, I think is one of the most healing keys and have heard this from several people at a reiki circle that it is the key that helped them open up and let go. That being said I think this would be a great didge for sound healers and meditative style of play. But this one has tremendous rhythm and percussive ability and with its shape and bell it is quite an explosive player. Excellent vocals, harmonics, toots, volume, and mesmerizing drone. You can just feel this entire didge shake from the second you play it. On top of it this is just a beautiful form with so many amazing varied pigments. With its big bell it can actually stand up straight on it! Such a cool and powerful didge!

In my early 20’s I moved to Montana for my love of fly fishing and the outdoors. I loved the adventure of hiking along a stream in search of trout while soaking in the  beautiful surroundings. Searching for agaves is similar as I hike the hills seeking agaves off in the distance and wondering if they will be a future didge. I bring this up because when I find certain stalks I feel like I have caught a lunker. This is such a stalk. It is so exciting to find these thick Old Souls that have grown from seed into a giant agave and then to flower and this stalk  survives several years in the field. This one has some dense thick walls that taper to a medium thickness bell. These thicker agaves are hard to find and just love the way they play. This has such a sweet drone that is so calming to play. Incredible rhythmic capabilities and can play with great speed but just loves to play in a more meditative style. I love the vocals and overtones and has perfect amount of back pressure. As you can see this has a ton of turquoise. There are over 100 inlays!  I also added a mouthpiece of beautiful rosewood and bubinga which compliment the agave and turquoise so well. Perfect for any level this is a piece of art that plays with such power!

I love the feel of this didge and it has such a calming mesmerizing drone. It loves to slow you down and play in a more meditative ambient style. If you are a sound healer this would be amazing with its incredibly light weight while having an amazing amount of volume and power. Would be so easy to move around with if playing in a group setting. The deep bass tone is so incredible and with the thin walls has some incredible vocal abilities and easy overtones. This one takes so little breath and less is more as it is so responsive. Even though it excels in slower tempos it also has amazing faster rhythmic capabilities which is so fun to hear in these deeper keys. If you are looking to slow down and play in a meditative style to help with the stressful times but also let go rhythmically this one would be a great fit!

Don’t let the dimensions fool you. This is an absolute powerhouse! I originally was going to make this into a fusion but it ended up not working so I put it aside for a while in my shop as it needed a ton of inlay work. I would play it here and there when I was working on other stalks and the more I played it the more I realized what a powerful little didge it was. It is unusual to see smaller agaves with such hard dense wood with this much resonance. It has amazing percussive capabilities and the overtones are so easy as well as dropping the note to a lower frequency. This one just like #313 had the perfect size mouthpiece so let it be and so cool to play right on the agave. This one has a ton of turquoise inlaid throughout and just beautiful wood pigments and variation. F# is such an amazing note and  one that I have always played a lot on my guitar. This would be such a fun didge for a little more experienced player as it is just electric. I have loved playing it and excited for it to bring new life to your playing!

A# is one of the most mesmerizing and meditative keys. It just takes you to a different place right when you hear and feel the drone. This one would be better for someone who has played a bit as it would be trickier for the ultimate beginner. It has really strong back pressure where you barely have to blow into it to get and maintain a strong drone. Once you get the feel for this one the possibilities are endless. It is so strong in an ambient style but allows for really fast rhythmic play as well which sounds so cool in such a deep key. The overtones are so clear and easy as well with its dense thicker walls. Vocals really stand out on this one as there is so much resonance they can sound like they are coming from different places and travel well up and down the stalk. This one had a ton of bug activity which equals lots of turquoise inlays! It also has some really interesting wood grain that I found in many of the stalks around this area that looks like it has almost been twisted. Also has some really dark and light beautiful pigments in the grain. If you are looking to explore the deeper keys this would be such a great fit at a great price!

If you look at my personal collection you will see that most of mine look similar to this one. I just love these thicker open bore didgeridoos. They have such a calming bass filled drone and has a nice overtone in the drone when you push it right. C# is the key I first started playing on  and is always a great reminder of how I fell in love with the instrument when I play this key. This would be a great one for the ultimate beginner to most seasoned player. It has such a nice feel to it  and along with the solid drone has amazing vocals and overtone capabilities. I also love the look of this one and I decided to make a little different looking combo mouthpiece and there is also a ton of turquoise inlaid throughout. A really solid didge for everyone!
