It is hard to put into words the power and ease of play of these monster agaves. This one is such an incredible stalk with nice dense thicker wood. You can’t really tell in the pics but there are a bunch of turquoise inlays throughout as it had a ton of insect and bird activity. I just love its shape and this one is an absolute power house. With its shape it lends itself to incredible rhythmic and percussive style of play but like most deeper key didges this one wants you to slow down and meditate and get lost in its amazing sonic capabilities. The drone is so well balanced with incredible bass tones. I love the vocals on these bigger didges as you can really travel them well up and down its length. The overtones are so clear and calming and feels like you are playing a crystal bowl when you hear them. With the very little amount of air needed you can really extend them for long durations. This would be such an amazing didge for those interested in exploring the deeper meditative keys!

If you were to take a look at my personal collection of agaves you would see many that look just like this one. I thick walled and bigger bore stalk with old wood full of superficial cracks. This one reminds me so much of my favorite one in E. It is heavy for an agave and has some amazing curves and light wood grain from being baked in the Arizona sun for many years. This one came from a new area I found and just love how they are turning out. This one plays with such ease and has such a mesmerizing bass filled drone with the bigger bore. Incredible vocals and overtones and would be such a great didge for any skill level. D is one of the most versatile notes for playing with other musicians and is always a key I bring to any jam session. This would be such a great didge to travel with as well with its sturdy frame. A beautiful piece that has so many capabilities!

When the world is getting a little overwhelming, as it has for so many of us lately, this didge will transport you to another world! This was just a monster agave that I found in my new honey hole. It was so massive that this is the middle of the flower as you can see where each flower branch once was. It is rare to find this big of an agave out in nature and not being fertilized and pampered in someones yard. When agaves get this big the flowers are usually incredibly thick and dense and this is a perfect example of that. This was likely a 30 foot flower which is kind of mind blowing when you think about it. This thick Old Soul has incredible resonance and has a mesmerizing bass filled deep drone that instantly calms the mind. I love these deep keys for slowing down and meditating and focusing on breathing. This takes so little breath and has such great bass and overtones that compliment the drone so beautifully.Vocals are strong and so fun to travel up and down the length of the didge. As you can see there is also such amazing contrast in pigments as some beautiful merlot colors near the bell of the stalk accented by many turquoise inlays. If you are ready for a deep key to play ambient mediative style rhythms and soundscapes this would be an amazing choice for you!

Whenever I have seemed stuck rhythmically it seems that D# gets me out of the slump. I just love the key for its energy and has always been a popular key especially for those that choose one in person. This one is just a gem and It plays with such power and presence while requiring such a small amount of breath. I love the bass filled drone and vocal and overtone ability it has. This has such a unique shape and coloration with reds, whites, pinks, and dark pigments throughout. A ton of bug activity translates into a ton of turquoise inlays that really pop accenting this beautiful array of colors. I would highly recommend this one to every level player and when you see this in person it will blow you away before you even play it and then you will be blown away again once you do play it!

This is one firecracker of a didge! This one can play with incredible speed and has so much volume. With its thin walls you can just feel the whole didge shake from the first breath. It is explosive but also loves to play in a more ambient style as well. You may think I forgot to put this didge in the box when you receive it as it is feather light and probably only ways 2 lbs. With the shape and skinner mouth this one has great overtone capabilities and the vocals just explode out the bell. This one would be a great fit for so many styles of play and if you like to move around while playing this would be perfect as it would be so easy to hold for long periods of times. So sound healer and dancers should consider this one. Such a cool and explosive didge!

I love making these shorter travel didges especially this time of year as it is hard to beat playing out in nature and having a powerful didge that weighs almost nothing allows the player to take this so many places they might otherwise bring one. This one is full of surprises though as it is a little firecracker of a didge. I love how padauk sounds combined with agave so wanted to make a longer mouthpiece for the shorter agave to give it a unique look and love how it came out. This one can play at warp speeds and has some incredible response. This would also be awesome for drum circles or playing with other instruments as it would compliment and also cut through the sound. People won’t believe what is coming out of this and how much power it plays with. Also has incredible vocal and overtone capabilities. Get out and adventure as much as you can this summer and play didge in places you haven’t before!

I have really needed these deeper keys to calm my mind these days. When I ended recording this I just felt so much more present and peaceful. It is hard to find didges in A for a good reason as they require a lot more length and patience to make. It is such an important key and everyone who hears them or plays in person is hooked. I love how this one slows you down and plays so well in an ambient meditative style and is so calming. The drone is so deep and has a great amount of bass tones to it. Requiring so little breath makes it so easy to circular breathe. The vocals and overtones are outstanding. With its light weight it would also work well for sound healers or players that like to move around while playing. If you have played for a while and feel like exploring a deep key this would be such an amazing didge!

As you might have read from the description of #358 this is another incredibly unique and powerful didge that grew right along side it for many years. This is an absolute monster of a didge and playing these big belled didges is hard to put into words just how fun it is. This one is just such an unbelievable form and this old stalk has some amazing wood tones and dense wood that explodes to almost a 9″ bell. As you might see from the photos sometimes these huge agaves form a lot of texture, from I am assuming, termites and other desert insects. There are a ton of caverns and texture on the inside of the bell. It just adds so much character and makes the sound waves travel and bounce around in different ways. This one isn’t as strong at toots as it is easy to reach the first overtone but the rest are harder with the enormous bell. This is for someone who just loves exploring the powerful key of C# and the healing tones this one projects. The drone has such a nice balance with awesome bass tones. The vocals are the best on these monster agaves and if you like to sing along with the drone this one is perfect. It has amazing response and back pressure and would be perfect for any skill level. And for the performer this one would definitely draw a crowd both on the stage or street. I have had so much fun working on this one and seeing it come to life and excited to pass it on to some lucky player out there!

One of my favorite didges is a little F# that looks very unassuming but packs a big punch and is a rhythm making machine. I wanted to create another similar to it so cut this one to the same exact length. The result was the same, an incredibly powerful rhythmic machine! I have always loved playing these higher pitch didges and this one would be such a great fit for someone who is looking to explore the higher keys wanting to play quick percussive style rhythms. It also excels in a more ambient style as the higher keys are so great to play in this way as well. Despite its size this one has a ton of volume and bass tones with really easy to reach toots. There is also a really nice overtone in the drone when pushed right. This would be a great travel didge with its size and sturdiness as this is a thick very dense agave. It also has great back pressure and doesn’t take very much air to get going. I think this would be a great street performance didge as well to travel around with and not take up a lot of space while producing good volume and also great for sound healing. A little powerhouse!

This new area I have been exploring has some incredibly thick and dense stalks. I just love the power they play with and this is about as thick as agaves come. Another swiss army knife of a didge as this one can do it all. As you might have heard in the sound clip there is some really explosive drum like sounds you can make with this one. The back pressure is just perfect and takes no breath and even with the smaller bell this one has great volume and would be heard in any drum circle or acoustic jam. The sturdy, thicker walls make this one great for traveling and hiking and camping. The drone of C# is just so grounding and this one has just beautiful overtone capabilities overt the bass tones in the drone and the toots are really easy with the shape and dense wood. This one is perfect for every level and if I was just starting out this would be my pick. Such an awesome didge!

I just love these bigger bore thick Old Souls! This one is absolutely beautiful with so many pigments from white to blacks to reds. The carpenter bees always love these thicker stalks and this one has lots of turquoise inlaid throughout in the perfect little circles they leave behind. They also leave grooves on the inside so there is some nice texture in parts on this one. This one has such a nice calming bass filled drone and would be a great one for grounding in these stressful times. Very easy overtones which are easy to transition to from the drone. The vocals are powerful and so clear over the drone and travel nicely up and down the stalk. I have this one a pretty good discount, so it’s a steal for such an amazing player!
