• I found this stalk my first week back in Tucson on a hike in the foothills nearby. I loved the shape of it and knew it would also have some amazing colors throughout. It has some dramatic features where the leaves were pulled off and with the old wood lots of bug holes that are filled with turquoise throughout. It plays with such ease with its narrow neck that tapers to a beautiful bell. The shape allow for easy overtones  an affinity for  speedy rhythms. It also plays beautifully in a slow ambient style with so many layers in the drone. I would highly recommend this for a beginner as it would be a great one to learn circular breathing and is so responsive to any manipulations be it voice, tongue, cheeks, etc.

• This a gorgeous stalk with some beautiful colors complimented by some amazing woods in the mouthpiece. This is an explosive didgeridoo with tons of capabilities. Loves to play both fast and slow with a beautifully balanced drone. Very nice dense tone wood this thing just sings when you play it. The vocals are nice and clear with easy overtones as well. Nice back pressure for easy circular breathing. With its 6″ bell at this note and size it has some great volume to it.  Being explosive it also has a ton of depth to the drone that lends it self really well to ambient styles of play.

• I am so excited about this didgeridoo. This one stood out from the beginning in my summer line. A huge agave that I found already fallen. This Old Soul I estimate at three years surviving out in the desert before I found it. Most other agaves would not have made it through these extreme conditions. It has nice dense thicker wood with tons of cracks that are all filled from the inside but give it such a weathered look on the outside. The sun really bleached the wood over the years so I thought spalted sycamore and walnut would compliment it well.   At over 6 feet in length and its big bore this agave has some great volume and the drone is so crisp and mesmerizing with an almost singing bowl overtone in the background. A# is such an incredible note and harder to find out there. If you like to play in a meditative style this one is definitely for you. Would be amazing for sound healers. With its open bore and responsiveness you can play some really fast explosive rhythms with ease and it has so much pop. Really nice clear and loud overtones.  Such nice back pressure for easy circular breathing. This is one of my  favorites I have made over all these years that will inspire new sounds and rhythms. Excited to see who the lucky person is that ends up with it!

You can’t tell from the photos but this one has an incredible bend  that makes this such a unique and visually stunning didgeridoo. The walls on this one are extremely thin.  This in conjunction with the big bell makes for some really loud and clear vocals. The overtones  come with ease and  the taper makes for great backpressure and ease of play.  Great rhythmic abilities with a nice full  ambient drone..  A beautiful piece that is sure to inspire!

LOVE this didgeridoo! I have really been enjoying these extremely deep notes and they are very hard to find as they take a lot more effort and time because of their length. This one is over 6 feet in length and you can feel an instant calm as the drone begins. Not only is this great for meditative playing but can play with great rhythmic ability. Perfect backpressure and takes hardly any air. Nice dense wood with great vocals and so responsive to every little alteration. Not only is it a great player but the mouthpiece on this one is really eye catching. Found some beautiful Beli wood to pair with Walnut and Mahogany. So many lines and  great to look down the pipe as you play. This one definitely won’t disappoint!

This one is a powerhouse. A 9″ bell is pretty hard to come by and still be able to have a didge form. This one has an enormous bore size as you can reach your whole arm up to your shoulder and flap your hand around in it. This bore creates some insane bass tones that completely shake my old airstream studio. If you like vocals this is like a megaphone projecting them far out in space. The drone has such a crisp tone and the bass doesn’t over shadow it. Volume wise this is one of the loudest didges I have heard. Such responsiveness and the ability to play with incredible speed and power as well as it really feels comfortable in a slower ambient rhythms as well. Despite its large size it takes so little breath and plays with ease. In addition to all of its amazing sound  capabilities it is also just a beautiful stalk. Great dense wood, nice coloration, and lots of turquoise inlays throughout. This would be a great performance didge and will surely draw a crowd. You won’t see many agaves out there like this!

I found this stalk and instantly new I wanted to make a big bore deep didgeridoo. It is quite a thick old stalk with really dense wood. One thing I love about Old Souls is all the character in the wood. This one has some nice deeper browns and I filled some of the cracks with some red ochre pigment to add some flash to it. I was really feeling red on this stalk I guess as I finished it off with Walnut and Padauk which is one of my favorite combinations of woods. I really opened up the mouthpiece on this one so those that prefer smaller mouthpieces might want to look at others on the site. There was so much pressure that I had to open it up to allow for different styles of playing. I have always preferred bigger mouthpieces for my style and this one is so great to play on. For a B this is shorter than average because of its big bore and thicker wood. the richness is evident right aways and so responsive. B has always been one of my favorite notes and if you don’t have one yet in your collection you should try one out.

One of the most unique stalks that I have found over the 15 years of making didges. That’s saying a lot seeing that I have worked on close to 500 over that time period. I found this stalk growing between two rocks which caused the unique bulb and angle the stalk grew. Not only does it have a nice big bell but it also has really great dense wood that tapers to a very small opening with extremely easy overtones and hardly any breath to get droning. Lots of percussive capabilities and can play with extreme pace. For those of you who enjoy wobbling this should fit you perfectly. Another really unique feature is the fact that this didge can stand all by itself. The unique shape has it balance perfectly on its bell of a foot. Quite a piece of art with lots of turquoise inlaid throughout to add to this special piece.

This is one tough stalk. It actually took me two separate occasions to this location to return home with it to remove all the stubborn tough leaves.  Was an exhausting yet rewarding experience.  This toughness translates well into the character of this didge.  I love the deep mesmerizing drone and the long neck and mouthpiece allow for such easy overtones that mix beautifully with the C note. Amazing vocal abilities that love to  travel throughout the length of this stalk. As you can imagine with the neck shape it has great backpressure and would make learning circular breathing that much easier. Advanced players will be in awe of all the sounds and abilities hidden deep in this stalk. An incredibly beautiful and powerful Old Soul!
