I have found many agaves over the years that I was so excited about harvesting but then would find a bird had beat me to it and made a home in it.  This one was  home to most likely a gila woodpecker for many years until it eventually fell to the earth after many years in the desert leaving the bird to find a new stalk to call home and allowing this amazing didge to come to be.  This has incredibly dense wood and why the bird called it home.  I filled its hole with some local turquoise which adds so much beauty and to its story. This is one has incredible response and I just love the big bore bass tones it has and the strong back pressure makes it a cinch to play. The vocals and overtones blow me away and will take you on such a sound journey with its very deep tone. A is a rare key to find and always goes fast as it is such a versatile key and so great for sound healing and meditation and I love playing it with stringed instruments as it has such a presence and power to it.  What an amazing instrument and so excited for it to give so much joy to its new owner!
